La notte del 12 novembre 1885, la famiglia O’Brian fu sconvolta da una serie di fatti terribili e inspiegabili. Avevano appena finito di costruire la loro casa-locanda e, la notte prima dell’inaugurazione, vennero svegliati di soprassalto da un terribile frastuono. Improvvisamente si ritrovarono di fronte uno spettro gigantesco: “Voi, maledetti! Avete osato profanare la mia tomba! Avete costruito la vostra casa nel posto sbagliato e avete rubato il mio oro!” Subito la furia dello spettro si scatenò contro gli O’Brian, che vennero sterminati da quella furia omicida. Da allora gli spiriti degli O’Brian infestano quella dimora…
